True Vine Holiness Church History

True Vine Holiness Church, Inc. is an independent, non-denominational Holiness church founded by Pastor Luel M. Campbell in January 1979. The church was formerly known as "The Prayer Band of Elizabethtown," and the first service was held in her home. Pastor Campbell taught the word of God and prayed for the sick.

There was a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Many souls were saved, filled with the Holy Ghost, and many were miraculously healed and delivered from sin by the power of God. As a result of this powerful movement, many of the converts are now ministers and pastors of churches today.



During her hour of prayer, God gave Pastor Campbell a vision of a church building and the name of the church. True Vine Holiness Church was chartered and incorporated on August 27, 1986. The church was built and dedicated on November 27, 1994.

Our chief goal is to glorify God our Savior, even Jesus Christ our God, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works; that we should show forth the praises of Him who hath called us out of darkness into His marvelous light; and that we may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, as lights in the world, holding forth the Word of Life, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide their feet into the way of peace (see Titus 2:13-14; I Peter 1:9; Philippians 2:15-16; Luke 1:79).
